Hospitality Business Development Associate

We’re seeking a proactive and relationship-driven Hospitality Business Development Associate to expand Flavors’ impact by building new client relationships, driving revenue, and fostering strategic partnerships within the community. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in helping food and beverage professionals and organizations access exceptional spaces and services that support their growth. Through a blend of sales, client engagement, and partnership development, you’ll play a key role in positioning Flavors as the premier choice in hospitality management.
Role Summary
The Hospitality Business Development Associate will be essential in expanding Flavors’ reach within the community by creating new client relationships, increasing revenue, and developing strategic partnerships. This role involves a hybrid of office and field-based activities, providing opportunities for both client interaction and strategic business development within the hospitality space. With clear growth paths and a focus on revenue generation, this position offers the chance to develop into a regional leadership role as Flavors grows.
What You’ll Do
Business Development and Revenue Generation
- Achieve or exceed monthly sales targets through memberships, event bookings, and service package sales.
- Develop and present tailored sales pitches to prospective clients, showcasing Flavors’ offerings in hospitality management, education, and culinary services.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline, actively identifying leads, setting appointments, following up, and closing sales.
Partnership and Relationship Management
- Build and sustain long-term partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, and corporate clients, establishing Flavors as their go-to hospitality provider.
- Develop connections within targeted sectors, including aviation, education, and government, to attract new partnerships and revenue sources.
- Represent Flavors at local events and networking functions to strengthen brand presence and grow a professional network.
Client Engagement and Retention
- Manage the client experience from initial contact through contract fulfillment, ensuring high satisfaction and encouraging repeat business.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, enhancing client interactions for maximum revenue.
- Foster loyalty and ensure long-term retention through effective communication and an understanding of client needs.
Sales Administration and Reporting
- Use CRM software to manage leads, document interactions, and track sales activities.
- Monitor and report on sales metrics, including lead conversion and partnership success, and participate in team strategy meetings to share insights and improve sales approaches.
- Collaborate with team members to support business growth initiatives and share best practices.
Member Management
- Onboarding New Members: Guide new members through the onboarding process, ensuring they understand and can fully utilize Flavors’ services and resources.
- Member Retention and Engagement: Regularly connect with existing members to gather feedback, identify needs, and offer service enhancements.
- Client Success Check-Ins: Conduct periodic check-ins to support member satisfaction, helping address challenges and recognize potential upsell opportunities.
Community Engagement and Relationship Building
- Current Member Events: Plan or support events and gatherings (such as networking nights or educational sessions) to foster a strong member community.
- Community Networking: Actively engage with local businesses and community organizations to build awareness, attract future members, and promote Flavors’ offerings.
- Feedback and Improvement: Gather insights and suggestions from members to enhance services, relaying feedback to leadership to continuously improve the membership experience.
Future Member Outreach
- Developing Leads from Community Engagement: Engage with potential members by representing Flavors at community events or hosting open houses, building trust and encouraging new memberships.
- Promoting Community Initiatives: Serve as a liaison, communicating Flavors’ community impact initiatives and encouraging members’ participation in local partnerships or projects.
Other Duties as Assigned

- Assist with market research, event coordination, or other business development tasks as required to support Flavors’ goals.
Education & Certifications
- Experience: Proven experience in a sales or business development role, ideally within hospitality, food and beverage, or events.
- Certifications: Flavors support professional growth by covering the Certified Sales Professional (CSP) certification within the first year of successful employment. Certification costs will be reimbursed upon completion, helping the associate gain valuable sales skills that align with Flavors’ mission and business development goals.
Experience and Values
- Experience
- Sales and Business Development: 2-3 years of proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, ideally within hospitality, food and beverage, or events. A demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and manage a client pipeline is essential.
- Client Relationship Management: Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships, with an understanding of client needs and the ability to deliver tailored solutions.
- Community Engagement: Familiarity with local business or community engagement is a plus, especially if experience involves creating partnerships and representing an organization in external settings.

We’re seeking a reliable and detail-focused Kitchen Operations & Maintenance Associate to keep our shared-use kitchen and event space clean, organized, and inspection-ready. In this role, you’ll play a key part in making our kitchen environment welcoming and well-maintained for food and beverage professionals to thrive.
Role Summary
The Kitchen Operations & Maintenance Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and facility readiness in our shared kitchen and event space. Initially focused on foundational tasks, this position offers growth opportunities as the associate takes on expanded responsibilities in facility compliance and member support.
What You’ll Do
- Food Safety and Compliance Support
- Act as the primary contact for food safety and sanitation standards, helping ensure the facility meets all compliance requirements.
- Utilize ServSafe Manager certification knowledge (or willingness to obtain within the first 90 days) to support members’ adherence to health codes and prepare them for inspections.
- Provide guidance on food safety protocols, including HACCP standards, to help members maintain compliance.
- Maintain Facility Cleanliness and Organization
- Keep all kitchen and bathroom areas thoroughly cleaned, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and organization in line with food safety standards, reporting any issues to management.
- Member Support for Food Safety Compliance
- Assist members with understanding food safety requirements and best practices, conducting informal checks and assessments to prepare for inspections.
- Maintain and update safety documentation, cleaning schedules, temperature logs, and compliance records.
- Storage Area Monitoring and Maintenance
- Regularly monitor and maintain the cold, freezer, and dry storage areas to ensure proper temperatures and safe storage conditions.
- Perform routine temperature checks and document readings, addressing any issues to prevent spoilage or contamination.
- Ensure items are properly stored, labeled, and organized in compliance with safety standards.
- Equipment and Maintenance Checks
- Monitor kitchen equipment for safe operation, performing basic maintenance or coordinating repairs as needed.
- Support the upkeep of kitchen assets, reporting any maintenance needs to the Operations Manager.
- Inventory and Supplies Management
- Track and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, coordinating reorders as necessary.

Education & Certifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: ServSafe Manager certification is preferred, but ServSafe Food Handler certification is acceptable initially. Flavors will sponsor ServSafe Manager certification for candidates who demonstrate reliability and commitment within the first 90 days.
Experience and Values

- 2+ years of experience in food service, hospitality, or facility maintenance, with knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
- Experience with commercial kitchen operations or property management is a plus.
- Familiarity with food service environments such as restaurants or catering kitchens; knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Office, and G-Suite; ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Experience with basic CRM or digital tools for communication and documentation (preferred).
